As you can see, I've got the second sock started. A mistake was made already, but I figured out how to fix it this time, unlike my first sock which I ended up ripping out and starting over a couple of times. Doesn't the finished sock look lonely? Hopefully, the second one will zip along much faster. I really think I didn't work on the first sock consistently because I was always worried that the next time I worked on it I'd mess it up so badly and be back at square one again. But I finally made it. Whew!

I want to learn how to knit socks too. I started a little one- then, injured the tendons in my left hand so that means NO MORE KNITTING for awhile. :D

Wow, the sock is beautiful. Congrats on nearly having your first pair done. (I think I'm having a love-hate relationship with my own sock. I'm mid way through the foot and can't seem to pick it up again. I just keep thinking once I finish, I have a WHOLE other sock to knit!) Nice color, though.
Thank you, Mollie. :) My husband has been teasing me about how long it's been taking me to finish the pair. My goal now is to finish them before the one year anniversary of when I started them. ha. I worked on my second sock quite a bit last night and am getting really close to finishing.
Maybe your second sock will go much faster. I'd love to see how they turn out. :)
Oooh, you give me hope that I can one day knit socks. I am a fairly new knitter and just have mental blocks about some things. Socks is one of them. Yours is beautiful!
Thank you, Carla. :) I'm sure you can do it. I learned a lot while making the first sock, like making sure to use lifelines after sections that are too difficult to pick up a dropped stitch. The second sock seems so much easier now.
